WEB QUEST Mary Fulton Lesson Plan PURPOSE - Using sites on a Webquest page, students will investigate the proper preparation of resumes and suggestions for having successful interviews. OBJECTIVES: Students will be able to tell the difference between the basic formats of resumes Students will be able to list areas to be included on the resume Students will be able to list information that should not be included on a resume Students will write a positive job description for themselves Students will be able to change the visual appearance of their resume Students will be able to discuss various aspects of the job interview Students will be able to discuss contemporary workplace issues in the workplace TECHNOLOGY: Students will be working in the computer lab with internet access. They will be using Netscape for their search. SCHEDULE: DAY 1 - Students will have had experience on the computer and internet at the time they do this unit. However, a brief review will be given. Students will begin the quest, taking notes on their readings. DAYS 2 & 3 - Students will continue their quest keeping notes of their readings. DAYS 4 & 5 - Class discussion of the information the students have gathered in their quest. EVALUATION FORMAT: Students will be evaluated on the information they collect in this quest and on their class discussion.
